Founder Brent Jones has been working in the film and video industry for 15 years. Since embarking upon a career in pre-production, production, and post-production he has developed an appreciation for the industry and the process of film/video making.

We are Bigger Boat Media. Maybe you were wondering where such a bizarre name for a company originated (or maybe not). Brent Jones (no not the ex-49er) was watching his favorite movie one day when Roy Scheider entered the boat‘s cabin and proclaims to Robert Shaw after seeing the shark for the first time “We‘re gonna need a bigger boat!“ Since he used the line in casual conversation (we‘re gonna need a bigger car, a bigger office.....etc.) so often, he decided to take the line from the movie he claims to have seen over 100 times.

An avid film buff, he decided that preserving his own memories as well as other‘s memories on film and video was an important endeavor and thus, the company was born.
