Most transfer places take your film, transfer it to videotape, then transfer it to DVD. At Bigger Boat Media, we transfer directly from the film so the quality is much better (no generational loss). Other transfers don't include the Hollywood style menus which we do (see the Menu Design page). We also talk to you directly so there is no doubt what gets transferred. Editing is offered for free if it's not too complicated and we guarantee our work. This means if you are not totally satisfied, you get your money back.

Since we are locally based in the Bay Area (San Francisco) you can be assured your precious videos and films are in good hands. It‘s always a good idea to know the people handling your irreplaceable memories. We carefully clean all film prior to transfer and we guarantee our work. Sit down and talk with a live person as opposed to dropping off your reels and videos and hoping for the best. Get the best quality for your money. You can also help design your own menus for the DVD and create “markers“ to navigate around your DVD to specific scenes. Or simply choose one of our many pre-designed menus.
